L’opera rappresenta e descrive questo luogo di ritrovo che era utilizzato sia dai viaggiatori ma anche dai contadini che ritornavano dal lavoro nei campi. Era luogo di ristoro e di aggregazione, nella semplicità del cortile di casa. Li si poteva giocare a carte, scambiare delle parole con amici e conoscenti e contemporaneamente ristorarsi con del vino semplice. Maria Teresa Casagrande, ci dona questa visione rappresentando quasi fosse una foto d’epoca. Sorge nel muro dell’abitazione dove c’era proprio la frasca oggetto del dipinto. Nella finestra dipinta viene rappresentato il volto della nonna dell’autrice che gestiva proprio la Frasca di Fratta.

The work represents and describes this meeting place that was used by both travelers and farmers coming back from the fields. It was a place for refreshment and get-togethers. There one could exchange a few words with friends and acquaintances and at the same time freshen up with some simple wine. Maria Teresa Casagrande depicted such a view as if it were a picture of that time. It was created on the wall of the same house that hosted the frasca. At the window she represented the face of her own grandmother, who owned the Frasca of Fratta.

Das Werk beschreibt den Treffpunkt für Reisende und Bauern (nach der Arbeit auf dem Feld). Es war ein Ort der Erholung und des Zusammenschlusses, in einem einfachen Hinterhof. Dort konnte man Karten spielen, mit Freunden und Bekannten reden und mit einfachem Wein gleichzeitig erfrischen. Das Werk sieht aus wie ein Oldtimer: wird am Originalort gemalt. Im bemalten Fenster wird das Gesicht der Großmutter der Autorin abgebildet. Selbst die Großmutter führte den Zweig in Fratta.
