Il boscaiolo con in mano la roncola per tagliare i rami più sottili, vicino alla “mussa” (slitta) utilizzata per il trasporto della legna con un folletto attaccato al ramo.

Durante le sere d’inverno, le persone che abitavano le varie borgate si ritrovavano nelle stalle per fare “il filò”, ovvero chiacchieravano della giornata appena trascorsa, mai con le mani ferme, perché intanto cucivano o pulivano le pannocchie del mais oppure sistemavano le patate…
Ovviamente si ritrovavano con i bambini, e per farli star buoni, gli venivano raccontate delle storie, una di queste era sul Mazharol: folletto che abitava il bosco e che faceva dei dispetti a chi rubava la legna o chi faceva dei danni alla natura. Si raccontava anche di questo personaggio fantasioso, che abitava nel bosco, per proteggerli ed evitare che andassero in luoghi pericolosi.
Quella rappresentata nel murales è la storia “Del contadin de Fratta” che fu narrata durante le serate di filò e che è stata portata fino a noi dalla maestra Caterina Casagrande.
Il Mazharol è un personaggio che viene raccontato nelle favole di tutta la Pedemontana Trevigiana e Bellunese

During winter evenings, people inhabiting various hamlets would gather in barns to do the “falò” (lit. bonfire), that is chatting about the day. The would always keep themselves busy sewing, cleaning cobs or sorting potatoes.
It goes without saying, to gathering they would also bring children and to make them be good they would tell them stories, one of which was about the Mazharol, a spirit living in the woods and pranking people who stole firewood and damaged nature. Another purpose of the story was to keep children from venturing into dangerous places.
The one depicted in the painting is the story of the “Fratta farmer”, that was narrated during bonfires and that was brought to our memory today thanks to our teacher Caterina Casagrande.
The Mazharol is a character being told of in fairy tales throughout the Pedemontana region comprising the provinces of Treviso and Belluno.

In den Winternächten trafen sich die Leute in den Ställen und machten “Il filò”: sie unterhielten sich über den letzten Tag und nähten oder säuberten Maiskolben oder stellten Kartoffeln… Die Kinder waren da, und um sie ruhig zu halten, wurden ihnen Geschichten erzählt. Eine Geschichte war “Der Mazharol”: ein Wichtel, der im Wald lebte und sich an Holzdieben oder Naturzerstörern vergriffen hat.
Er erzählte sich auch von einer fantasievollen Person, die im Wald lebte, um sie zu schützen und zu vermeiden, an gefährliche Orte zu gehen.
Auf dem Wandbild ist die Geschichte “Del contadin de Fratta”: Geschichte, die an den Abenden von Filò erzählt wurde. Diese Geschichte wurde von Lehrerin Catherine Casagrande zu uns gebracht.
Mazharol ist eine Figur, die in den Märchen der ganzen Pedemontana Trevigiana und Bellunese erzählt.
